Product information "Silica sol 100 ml"

Very well suited for clarification of juices, wines, etc..
Good in combination with liquid gelatin (1 ml silica sol + 1 ml gelatin, add separately!), this then has a fast effect with little trub.

Dosage:   2.5-5 ml/10 l.

 

How do I know which fining agent to use?
One of the simplest and still one of the best methods is "trial and error": Take several samples of the wine to be fined and place them in sample tubes. Add a few ml or grams of a different clarifying agent to each sample tube. One sample tube of wine/juice with pecto-enzyme and another with alfa-amylase (for starchy fruit) are also useful. Leave to clarify for a few hours and you will immediately see which clarifying agent gives the best result!
