SAFLAGER W34/70 dry bottom fermented 11.5 grams for 10 to 15 liters of beer

Choose the packaging size: 1x 11,5g ; 38x 11,5g ; 1x 100g or 1x 500g


This well-known yeast strain from Weihenstephan in Germany is used in industrial brewing worldwide. Thanks to its excellent technological characteristics, this strain is the number 1 choice for lager brewing in breweries worldwide.

    Sedimentation: high
    Final fermentation degree: medium
    Recommended temperature range: 10 - 14°C
    Dosage: 8 - 12 g / 10 l
    At temperatures below 12°C please increase dosage up to 20 - 30 g / 10 l.

Saflager W34/70 Application:

Before pitching, first rehydrate the yeast in sterile water or sterile wort at 27ºC ± 3ºC. To do this, measure the liquid so that it is about ten times the weight of the yeast. Sprinkle the yeast onto the surface of the liquid and gently stir in until the mixture becomes creamy. Then let the yeast slurry rest for another 30 minutes. Then the yeast is ready for pitching in the fermenter.
Note:

Do not confuse regular baker's yeast with brewer's yeast!

Only the right brewer's yeast gives the wort its distinctive beer flavor!
