Irish Stout - Beer recipe

An aromatic, malty sweet, roasty and full-bodied beer with 6.4% alcohol and an original wort of 15.7%

The malt mixture contains the mixed malt, hops and brewer's yeast designed for the quantity to be brewed.

Malt pour with the following content:

Pilsner malt
Pointed malt flakes
Colored malt

Hops:  Hallertau Blanc

Brewer's yeast:  Safale S-04 Brewer's yeast top fermented ArtNo.: 1845

Choose your own Irish Stout malt blend size:

nächstes Mal: ungeschrotet (ich habe quasi Mehl erhalten)

Leider war das mir gelieferte Malz so extrem fein gemahlen (nicht geschrotet), dass es beim Einfüllen gestaubt hat wie Hulle, mir die Umlaufpumpe verstopft hat und nach dem Setzen gute 5cm dicken Schlamm im Kessel hinterlassen hat. Aus der 30-Liter Gesamtwassermenge habe ich 12 Liter Sud erhalten, der Rest ist im Malz und Schlamm geblieben.
Wie beim Kaffee also: NIEMALS, unter keinen Umständen, gemahlenes/geschrotetes Gut kaufen, IMMER selbst schroten.

Das gesagt, der Geschmack ist fantastisch - ich kann zwar erstmal nur das Jungbier beurteilen, das gibt aber schon eine richtig, richtig gute Richtung. Knapp 7% Vol habe ich - laut Refraktormessung - nach Abschluss der Alkoholgärung drin. Passt also prima.
Nun hoffen wir mal, dass es auch nach dem Karbonisieren so gut ist, wie es sich andeutet.

Die "Mehl-Lieferung" finde ich schon ärgerlich, aber man lernt halt aus Fehlern. Interessanterweise war die IPA-Mischung, die ich am selben Tag bestellt habe, einwandfrei gut geschrotet und hat NULL Probleme gemacht. Muss also wirklich ein "Ooops" gewesen sein.
