In the SPEIDEL juice barrel, you can store fruit juices for months and tap them daily without the juices fermenting or becoming bitter. Because of their health value, juices made from apples, pears, black and red currants, raspberries, elderberries and grapes are particularly popular. They can be stored separately or mixed. Water can also be added to make the juice more drinkable. If you want, you can also store already fermented must or wine in the juice barrel.
The container need not be full. This is because the oil floating lid
adjusts to the contents; it always floats on top of the juice. When juice is tapped, it automatically sinks to the bottom.
A "sealing ring" made of the finest, medically pure oil keeps atmospheric oxygen out. This keeps the juice fresh for months. Even the ancient Romans poured oil as an "air seal" on their wine to preserve it.

For all friends of homemade sweet musts, the SPEIDEL juice barrel brings considerable relief: The freshly squeezed fruit juice can be heated directly in the barrel to 85°-90°C with the special and powerful SPEIDEL surface immersion heater and then stored in the same container. You save handling the canning pot and bottling the finished juice (with careful hygiene, the so-called hot sterilization prevents fermentation of the juice - without any preservatives).

Stainless steel is the ideal material for barrels: it is food safe and absolutely airtight. Neither the air from outside nor the aroma from inside can penetrate. Stainless steel is completely tasteless and is not attacked by fruit acid. It can be easily cleaned outside and inside without aggressive agents.
