Operating pressures between 1 bar and 3 bar (wheat beer) are nothing unusual for the compensator tap.
A prerequisite for the correct functioning of the tap is, of course, the setting of the correct operating pressure at the dispensing system.
If you do not have a table or slide rule to determine the correct operating pressure, the following rule of thumb applies:

Only when the beer stream runs "round" and clear (without bubbles) from the tap, the operating pressure is set correctly.

Ideally suited also for beer flow coolers and bar trucks where a fast beer tapping is required.
