What keg connections are available?
We have keg connectors in a wide variety of designs. Kegs and NC kegs have connections at the top and bottom. The upper keg connection is for the CO2, the lower one for the tap - and thus for your beverage. Depending on the keg, the connection type and thread are different, and the colors and diameters also vary
Keg connectors are available as a complete iTap set for NC kegs, as a tank valve in various inch sizes, as a Coca Pepsi keg connector or as an angle combi tap head. Other keg connections as a plug-in coupling with pressure reducer and/or with two outlet valves, flat tap heads and back pressure. We also carry filling dispensing heads.
The tank valve is suitable for Jolly Kegs and NC Kegs and contains, in addition to the seal, an inner plunger and a spring made of sturdy chrome.
With the iTap connection set for beer keg barrels you can easily connect a CO2 bottle with pressure reducer. All clamps, hoses and the matching accessories (wing nut) are included in the keg connection set.
Angle and flat tap heads are available with side beer outlet. Most taps are compensator taps. Excess pressure is released via a side valve while the beer is being tapped.
Closing kegs
Fancy kegging and the perfect secondary fermentation of your homebrew in the keg? Here it comes down to the right b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">keg sealing. You can work without pressure and reduce the filling quantity, or you can transfer your beer via the connection valve
In the keg, the propellant gas creates an overpressure - if you open the tap, your beer is pressed out of the keg through a hose. By unscrewing the tap head, the venitl closes tightly. This way, the beer - or other beverages - will last for a long period of time.
While you're racking your beer, you should regulate the pressure created in the keg using the pressure relief valve. To ensure that your keg is leak-proof, you should maintain a pressure of about 1 bar in the keg after capping it thoroughly. The exact sealing pressure varies slightly from keg to keg. Tip: When the pressure increases, you can hear a slight cracking sound in the keg
Typical keg closures:
- Flat keg head: open and closed
- Combi keg coupler: open and closed
- Basket keg coupler: open and closed
- Draft keg coupler: open and closed
Installing the dispensing head
A good tap head is half the tap system! Of course, your tap head must fit the keg. So before you buy your tap head, you should know which keg you want to connect it to. u>Important: There are different connection systems!
The tap is used to connect your keg to the dispensing system. Make sure to clean your taps regularly and thoroughly. You can connect the tap head to a CO2 bottle. The connection itself is easy and can be done within minutes according to the instructions (which are included in the delivery).
Connecting taps
If you have a b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">complete tap system, it consists of a CO2 bottle, a pressure reducer, a beer hose, a CO2 hose, a keg (beer barrel) and a tap head.
Make sure that your dispenser is placed on a flat and sturdy surface. You will need a 230 volt power supply. Connect the device at least ten minutes before start-up, so that the cooling (dry cooling) in the device can pre-run.
Connect the pressure reducer (CO2) to the carbon dioxide bottles with the appropriate key. Now adjust the stopcock vertically.
Now all you have to do is remove the protective caps from the keg and connect the hoses according to the enclosed instructions. The appropriate wing nuts are also enclosed with your beer dispenser. The beverage or beer hose is transparent.
Notewhen turning on the gas bottle, there should be no hissing. If there is, check all seals and connections.
The beer foam is related to the pressure (inherent pressure) of the beer. If more foam is desired, then push the tap back briefly - this will produce extra foam.
